1.1. In these terms and conditions, ‘you’ means the swim school member (or the parent, guardian or caregiver where relevant), and ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’ means Splash At Moreton Hall Swim School.
1.2. These terms and conditions apply to Splash At Moreton Hall Swim School swim school programmes. By enrolling for lessons you accept these terms and conditions.
2.1. Lessons can be paid by debit card or cash & must be paid in full for the term two weeks before the term starts.
2.2. If joining part-way through the term, the full pro-rata payment amount is due before the first lesson to secure your child’s place.
2.3. Payments must be made when making the booking. If declined, we will attempt the payment again 3 working days later. If we are still unable to receive payment, a late payment fee of £10 will be charged.
2.4. We have the right to give up your place at anytime if payment is not received.
3.1. You must fill out a health questionnaire before participating in lessons and shall only participate if there is no medical reason not to.
3.2. You are responsible for your children in the changing rooms.
3.3. Please make sure your child is ready to swim no more than 5 mins before their lesson, having been to the toilet & showered.
3.4. Never bring your child swimming if they have a significant illness, e.g. diarrhoea, chicken pox, ear infections, conjunctivitis. 3.5. Swimmers hair should be tied up and away from their face, including fringes. Splash branded swim hats are compulsory and can be purchased from reception for an additional charge of £6.
3.6. We recommend that where swimmers wish to wear swim shorts; swim trunks should be worn as opposed to beach shorts.
3.7. Goggles can be worn. Please make sure they are well fitting. Practice in the bath!
3.8. Swimmers are to wait quietly in the designated waiting area on the poolside.
3.9. Please be prompt in collecting your child after their lesson.
4.1. Lessons are non-refundable if your child is unable to attend their lesson(s) as a place has been reserved for them for the term.
4.2. However, in the instance that we cancel a swimming lesson, you will be given the option of a credit or a refund for that lesson.
4.3 Please note that we are unable to offer make-up lessons or credits in place of missed lessons.
5.1. You must follow all facility rules and all instructions from our staff.
5.2. Please shower before entering the pool.
5.3. Blue shoe covers must be worn around the poolside.
5.4. Swimmer nappies must be worn by all children under the age of 3 years.
5.5. Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times.
5.6. No running around the poolside.
6.2. All Personal Data that we collect about you will be held by us in accordance with the Data Protection Legislation and our privacy policy. “Data Protection Legislation” means (i) the retained EU law version of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 as enacted into English law (UK GDPR) and as revised and superseded from time to time; (ii) the Data Protection Act 2018 and as revised and superseded from time to time; (iii) Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 and as revised and superseded from time to time; and (iv) any other laws and regulations relating to the Processing of Personal Data and privacy which apply to a party and, if applicable, the guidance and codes of practice issued by the relevant data protection or supervisory authority and expressly includes the common law duty of confidentiality. A reference to the expressions “processing” and “Personal Data” shall bear their respective meanings referred to in the Data Protection Legislation.
6.3. We will take all reasonable precautions to protect your privacy. You have the right to access and request correction of any personal information we hold about you at any time.
7.1. We may take general photographs or videos of the facilities at any time. If you or your child appear in those photographs or videos, you agree that we may use them for marketing and promotional purposes indefinitely and that you have no rights or copyright in the material. You release Splash at Moreton Hall Swim School, the photographer or filmmaker, and each of their licensees and assignees, from any and all claims and demands in connection with the material or its future use.
7.2. You must get the permission of the swimming teacher in charge of the lesson or the person in charge before taking photos or videos of anyone.
7.3. If you would like to opt out from your child receiving photos or videos, please e-mail swim@splashschool.co.uk.
8.1. Please make sure you have notified us of any learning or additional needs as well as any further information that may help us in teaching you or your child to swim.
8.2. Please be aware that we may make changes to the timetable. Where this affects you and your lessons we will give you reasonable advance notice.
9.1. Lessons are non-refundable if you are unable to attend your lesson(s) as a place has been reserved for you.
9.1. Failure to attend a lesson (whatever the reason) will result in the lesson being forfeited. The lesson will not be made up and no refund or credits will be made.
10.1 Our swim school is dedicated to safeguarding the welfare of all participants. We adhere to strict policies, including thorough staff training, reporting procedures for concerns, and regular risk assessments, to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
